Artist, wife and mom of 2, I am a sculptor who lives in Mooresville, NC. My medium is recycled paper which I began working with as an honorary Cub Scout in my brother’s troop. I got hooked on sculpting after searching for a fictional piece by Michael Angelo from the book "From the Mixed-up Files of Basil E. Frankweiler" by E. L. Kongisburg. I have always been a tree hugger and was able to find my voice through my sculptures. Environmental or political in subject matter; neutral or full color, my art my not always be serious but I am always serious about my art.

I blend recycled paper with water to bring it back to pulp. My pieces are air dried and are painted with recycled house paints and other natural colorants.

I was the owner /instructor of I.C.I.C.L.E.S. WORKING ARTISTS STUDIO (imagine, create, inspire, cultivate, learn, engage, share) in Surfside Beach, SC. I have shown at galleries and museums along the Grand

Strand and have been an active member of several Artist Guilds.

 I take my art seriously...

but my art is not serious!

This series of 4 classes will introduce you the art of sculpting with paper.  There is no experience needed just curiosity and interest! Over the course of the classes you will learn how to make the paper pulp, sculpt with the pulp, dry your project, add color and finish your sculpture.

All of the materials needed for you to sculpt your Coral Reef will be included in your supply fee.

Week 2 – sculpt

Week 3 – paint

Week 4 – glaze & assemble
