Ellen Chaney Patterson studied art at the University of Arkansas at Monticello with an emphasis in metal/three dimensional work in silver and gold and copper enameling.

She has studied portrait and watercolor painting from Statesville, North Carolina artist Carol Ann Whitmore-Herring and studio painting with Edrie Knight. Ellen has received many awards and acclaims for her art.

Ellen studied watercolor pours with Florida artist Jean Grastoff, figure painting with Alex Powers, experimental transparent acrylics with Louise Cadillac. She has also studied with Ohio artist Frederick Graff and experimental watercolor/collage artist Mary Todd Beam.

Art is more than a hobby for me. It's a passion, it is how I capture and celebrate life.

Ellens work can be found in private and corporate collections nationally and internationally.
